How often to you work out with your clients?
Typically, we work out twice a week. We then discuss what you can or should be doing on the other days. This can be more or less depending on individual circumstances
Where do you see your clients?
I see clients either in my home or in their home.
What type of equipment do you need or do we use?
Very little equipment is needed, though it does depend on the goals of the client. Generally, we will incorporate dumbbells, a stability ball, resistance bands, and other portable devices. Additional equipment can be utilized if you already have some in your home.
How long is a session and what do you do?
A session is one hour in length. Exercises vary from person to person. Based on your goals (weight loss, core work, increase strength, become faster, participate in or improve triathlon time, or other sports specific training), your sessions may include some strength and core training with the stability ball, some speed work or interval training on the treadmill, some time in the pool, or a workout at the park.
Do you help your clients with their diet and nutrition?
Diet is a necessary part of any fitness program and is therefore addressed and discussed with the client. Specific dietary considerations and detailed programs should be discussed with a nutritionist.
What sets you apart from other personal trainers?
My education, experience, convenience and affordability. I have a bachelors degree and a masters degree in the field (something uncommon to most personal trainers). Also, through personal participation, teaching and coaching, I have a lifetime of experience with sports, exercise, and improving the fitness level of others.
What if I have a specific medical consideration?
I have experience working with people with a wide variety of physical limitations and health concerns. I can also work with your doctor or physical therapist if needed.
